Types of Staffing
Staffing Partners offers positions from entry level to engineering and everything in between. We have several divisions dedicated to the specific needs of your industry including: Light industrial, Engineering, Skilled/Technical, Clerical and Construction. All of our divisions work together to make your job easier.
50% light industrial/20% skilled and technical/20% construction/10% clerical.
Just in Time Resources
They allow you to manage your business and meet your customer’s
production orders without overstaffing throughout the year. We are able to provide staffing resources
on short notice. (order a day ahead or just hours) This is a great program for projects or seasonal needs.
Many of our clients utilize just in time staffing to deal with the cyclical nature of their business.
Assignment to Hire Resources
They give you and the candidate the opportunity to ensure the
best fit for employment. During the candidate’s hiring period, you as the client are not responsible
for Unemployment Insurance or costs, Worker’s Compensation Insurance or costs or paying the
candidates payroll taxes. This program has improved our current customer’s retention rates once
they hire our Assignment to Hire Resources. In many instances the program has also shown them
a long term cost savings.
Direct Hire Resources
They allow you to save money and time on the recruiting and screening process.
After determining the basic skills and traits to look for, Staffing Partners will conduct a search, screen
(according to the client’s needs) and present only the most qualified candidates for your approval. Once
you select a candidate, you are able to hire that person directly to your payroll and you simply pay
Staffing Partners a fee for the recruiting and screening.
Payroll Resources
They allow you to control your hiring process and maintain a long term workforce
while reducing the costs associated with employment and controlling your PTE count.
Servicing Programs
Partner on Premise
This program manages resources as an extension of your HR department, can serve as your HR department and/or can be a support to your production supervisors. Staffing
Partners will relieve your staff of the tedious task of coordinating staffing resources, allowing them
to focus on core business activities while contributing to meeting your production goals. Not all
Partner on Premise programs are created equal. The key to a successful Partner on Premise
program depends upon open communication, allowing us to understand your challenges and
implement a successful solution.
Attendance Programs
We realize that problem attendance can have a devastating effect on the efficiency of your business and in some instances can negatively impact your relationship with clients, your employees and can even put production behind schedule. We certainly can’t guarantee perfect attendance but our programs can effectively address the “no notice” departures and reward for perfect attendance without increasing rates to our customers. In some cases, our customers have experienced considerable cost savings over other staffing service rates. For us to determine your solution, we first need to understand your specific challenge.
Automated Timekeeping
This can be used in conjunction with other programs we offer or can be a stand alone solution. Payroll and timekeeping has been known to be a time-consuming and daunting weekly task. Our Automated Timekeeping system relieves a majority of the tasks involved and, in some instances, can be linked into other systems for downloading purposes. It has assisted with the analysis required for labor costing and improving production capabilities. On a much more remedial level it eliminates the ability for “Ghost Punching” ensuring your invoices are correct. An evaluation will help us determine if this solution makes sense for you.
Customized Screening
Because screening needs are different for every company and sometimes every position, we will establish a customized skill assessment that will match your company’s
requirements for hire. Our screening process can include, but is not limited to the following:
- Interview (general or customized)
- Job related testing
- Dexterity testing
- Wonderlick testing
- 5 and 10 panel drug testing
- Math/ruler testing
- Computer skills testing
- Social Security verification
- Reference checks
- DOT check/verification
We can also establish a process to tour your facility with potential applicants to see the actual work before starting an assignment.
Transportation
Sometimes the solutions is bridging the gap. For those clients that have volume staffing needs and for our employees that don’t have the means to get to outlying areas, we offer
transportation. Staffing Partners vans and buses run 7 days a week and 24 hour per day, giving us
the ability to service clients that are outside the reach of the public transportation services. So, if you see a gap that needs to be bridged, let us help determine if our transportation option is the solution.
FAQs
What is your fee?
Although this is the first and most commonly asked question, unfortunately it is one of the last question we can answer. That is, if we are doing our job correctly. We are typically very competitive in our industry, however, it would be irresponsible of us to quote rates until we thoroughly investigated what type of services would be required to effectively and successfully solve your staffing problems. In addition, we need to consider worker’s compensation classifications, so that our employees are protected appropriately. All of these things are discussed at length during our investigation session(s).
What makes you different from all of the other services?
We start by listening. We don’t tell you how our service works, we ask you how you need it to work, listen to what you have to say and then put the pieces in
place to make it happen. We know that each business and hiring situation is unique, so understanding the specific needs and overall goals of your business is key to the success of our partnership, Whatever the business opportunity, we work to increase your production levels and support your goals. We have the staffing expertise, but we don’t pretend to know your challenges without hearing it from you. Our philosophy
is . . . make “extra effort” a set standard for servicing clients and building partnerships.
What is your screening process?
Let us answer your question with a question. Is the same skill level and experience required for every job at every company? The obvious answer is no. That’s why our screening process is not the same for every applicant or every client. Although there are some common aspects to our process, and things we must keep consistent, ultimately a client can direct the screening process to fit their needs. This ensures the right “fit” and strengthens our labor pool for various companies and skill levels. Generally, the following screening options are available and some are a basic screening requirement. You choose and tell us how it should be done.
- Preliminary evaluation (determining eligibility to work for Staffing Partners)
- Application process, including background information, I-9, and other insurance related paperwork
- Interview (general or customized to client specifications).
- Drug Testing
- References
- Testing (general or customized to client specifications)
We will have every applicant fill out a preliminary form to determine their eligibility to work with Staffing Partners. The questions asked
consist of I9, drug testing and background information. When the applicant is approved, we will then have them fill out an application.
We will interview the applicant to determine what job(s) that they would be interested in doing, go over their qualifications, as well as, any gaps in the person’s work history. We will thoroughly orient every candidate and complete any client specific testing or screening, prior to
assigning to your company. Our goal is to work with every client to determine what is the best process for each situation and will customize
a screening and on boarding process to meet the needs of the individual client and situation.
What is the benefit of the partner on premise program?
The benefit very much depends on the challenges you face.
If your supervisors are spending too much time coordinating “just in time resources” our program relieves them of that duty and our on site representative manages the entire on boarding process.
If you are having difficulty recruiting or find the hiring process too time consuming, our program will act as an extension of your HR department, assuming the role of hiring source, manage discipline take on the Worker’s Compensation and Unemployment risk through our Assignment to Hire Program.
By having the expertise of a staffing partner on site, you can take advantage of the extra hands for evaluating and analyzing processes related to staffing and can alleviate some of the burden associated with employing people. The advantages could be considered limitless. . . only if it is the “right” program for your needs.
